A 22-minute screwball cyberpunk action-comedy for young adults, Drive! Cal Gal Drive! is the latest animated series in development here at Something’s Awry Productions. We couldn’t be more excited to share what we’ve been working on with you! “Drive! Cal Gal Drive” is a futuristic, action-comedy adventure about two young women (one human, one…not) on a quest to follow their dreams and discover their place in the world. All while being chased by a katana-wielding, maniac movie producer! Think cyberpunk, teenage “Thelma and Louise”.
Written by Kurtis Theorin, with beautiful, eye-popping character designs and concept art by Angelica Agelviz, each episode sees our heroines get tangled up with new oddball characters as they try to stay one step ahead of the dangerous foes on their tail. This is a classic tale of two young women in-over-their-heads in the big city. It’s a chaotic, sci-fi buddy comedy in a cyberpunk city gone mad, where the only way to make it is to… DRIVE! CAL GAL DRIVE!
